If you reached this blog, is because either you met me somewhere online. Or because I did a good job ranking on top of Google searches.
Most probably is the first one. As I’m writing this, the English version of this blog is pretty new.
But the Pizza DIXIT project is online by 2015. And boy, what a ride has been so far.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Giuseppe A. D’Angelo. I was born and raised in the most beautiful city on this planet: Naples, Italy.
Like many Neapolitans, I have a passion for food. Especially one: Neapolitan pizza.
Yes, it’s not a pizza like any other. And, until not so long ago, it was quite hard to find a good one outside Naples, let alone Italy.
So, my job started with a mission: help other Italians finding their beloved food around the world.
That mission was helped by an event that no one could predict: Neapolitan pizza started to gain popularity all around the world.
Therefore a lot of people wanted to learn how to make it. And, with that, there was also a growing interest in the Italian pizza culture in general.
But I realized that, while now there is a lot of information on how to make Neapolitan pizza, there’s not enough about anything else: other Italian pizza styles, the history and evolution of pizza in our country, what represents for us, places to visit to eat it and understand it, and so much more.
So, after several years online, I decided to take a step further and open the English version of my blog.
With this new project, I’m going to provide contents that will be unique to an international audience. I want to promote the culture of Italian pizza in the world the best I can.
It’s something that I’ve already been doing through the social profiles linked to this page: on Facebook and Instagram, I regularly post content in double language. But now it’s time to expand those contents even further.
As I mentioned before, I’m writing this introduction at the very beginning of this new path. I have a lot of ideas, but it’ll take a while before I will be able to enrich this blog with all the articles you need.
